Hats off to newly qualified Masters students

An air of accomplishment filled Kingston town centre recently (21 January) as a year of hard work reached its conclusion and the first students graduated with an MA from the inaugural Internal Communication Management programme. Jointly run by Capita Learning & Development and Kingston Business School, the Masters is the only qualification of its kind in the UK, and is now accepting applications for a third successful year.

In front of a full house in the Rose Theatre in Kingston, the Dean acknowledged the congregation's hard work, strength of character and commitment before awarding the internal communication professionals on the Masters and Postgraduate programmes.

“We're very proud to see our first cohort of students graduate. It's a real milestone for the profession”, says course director Liz Cochrane.

Built on the highly respected Postgraduate Diploma in ICM, the Masters was developed to meet the changing face and increasing importance of internal communication in businesses today. Liz continues: "Students tell me, relatively shortly after starting the course, that their bosses have said to them, 'I can see a real qualitative difference in what you're doing'. That's something I hope to hear even more of in the future."
